A.F. Gros Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits Rouge 2022 The name Gros is one of the most famous in the Cte de Nuits, synonymous with great Vosne Romane. The original Gros domaine is now divided amongst four family members. Anne-Franoise, daughter of Jean Gros, married into another great Burgundy dynasty, the Parent family of Pommard. In 1998 Franois Parent and Anne Franoise combined their domaines to create a superb 10 hectare property comprising some of the finest terroirs in the Cte dOr. Today their children Caroline and Mathias run the estate, with Mathias ever experimenting and pushing boundaries in both vineyard and cellar. Anne-Francoise Gros (Vosne-Romanee) is married to Francois Parent (Pommard) and live in the latter commune, though their wines have been made in their impressive premises in Beaune since the late 1990`s. The domaine is made up of Anne-Francoises portion of Domaine Jean Gros, yet other wines from in and around Vosne-Romane are made from vineyards which she has bought or leased, as well as her husbands part of Domaine Parent. Francois also creates wines under his own label, recognisable by the distinct image of a black truffle.
